Delhi Man smuggled liquor through Asola Sanctuary held

New Delhi: Officials Department of Forest and Wildlife on Thursday morning captured smugglers of liquor with liquor State being transported from Haryana to Sangam Vihar.
Two men have been captured in the same way on Tuesday.
Forest officials claiming liquor smugglers have broken the border wall of Sanctuary Asola Bhatti to enter from the Haryana team in the early hours of the morning.
On Thursday, forest officials patrolled the sanctuary said they saw a man around 12pm with three state liquor boxes and 17 other local liquor bottles.
The man was found as a resident of Sangam Vihar.
He could not produce a valid document to bring so large liquor.
“There are more than 100 bottles and the man cannot produce documents, or tell us where he bought liquor from,” said an officer in the southern forest division.
The man was detained and the bottles were confiscated under Section 50 (c) Law of Wildlife Protection, 1972, added the officer.
On Tuesday morning, forest officials had caught two men with 11 boxes containing a total of 620 bottles of liquor, along with two wheels, which were used to move to the environmental sensitive zone.
“A trap has been placed around 4am, because this smuggler has tried the same in the past too.
In two previous attempts, they fled, leaving a bottle behind.
They generally carry liquor to Delhi around 4-5 in the morning, when It’s still dark, “said a forest official.
“People who are accused of being detained and will be produced in front of the court,” said Amit Anand, Deputy Forest Conservator, South Division.
Forest officials said allegedly forbidden liquor arrived in Delhi from the village of Sarangpur Haryana, which is located near the sanctuary.
The movement of smugglers disturbs wildlife and affects the ecology of the sanctuary.
