New Delhi: A 38-year-old man allegedly stabbed a woman who rejected his marriage proposal for his daughter on Sunday at Kapashera.
The man, who was angry, attacked the mother-child duo to take revenge for the rejection.
While the two women were in care, the police had arrested the attacker and accused him of trying to kill.
The person arrested has been identified as a ramper, who works as a laborer.
The wounded women were Ruby (18) and his 40-year-old mother lali.
Ramu is known as Laali’s husband, who also works as a laborer, and they all live in the same environment.
The incident took place on Sunday night in Kanganheri Village, when Ramu visited Laali’s house and asked him to marry his daughter Ruby to him.
“In this case, the mother was angry and rejected the proposal after the argument occurred between them.
Verbal spat immediately turned ugly and ramper took sharp metal objects and attacked Laali.
When Ruby tried to intervene and save her mother, Ramu also attacked him.

The locals then called the police and the two women rushed to the hospital where they were accepted for treatment.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Santosh Kumar Meena said, based on the victim’s statement, the case of attempts to murder under the IPC 307 section was registered at the Chhawla and Ramu police station arrested.
The police also looked into the man’s criminal record of the man.
