Delhi Metro: Ropeway Links at Rs 487 Crore

Ghaziabad: Agency hired to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the RopeWay link proposed between the Vaishali Metro Station in the Blue line and Mohan Nagar station in the red line has submitted documents to the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GA).
Project costs have been set at RS 487 Crore and arranged to be completed in 2024.
“Ropeway will connect Vaishali and Metro Station Mohan Nagar, distance of 5.17 km.
This project is conceived with the aim of providing alternative transportation modes between two stations in two stations Different corridors.
Previously, we had planned a plan to connect two stations with metro lines, because of financial constraints, “said Sinha SK, Executive Engineer, GDA.
The metro line between Vaishali and Mohan Nagar will cost around Rs 1,800 Crore, he added.
In addition to the terminal station, Ropeway will have two things, in Vasundhara and Vaishali.
“The Vaishali-Mohan Nagar route was chosen because the alignment of the Metro corridor was almost directly here and there was enough space available along the railway line where the Ropeway Carriage would ply,” Sinha said.
“Initially, 249 cars would operate and each would accommodate 10 passengers.
Garria will be available at a one-minute frequency and will take around 15 minutes to close the distance between two metro stations,” he said, adding that GDA also explored the possibility Connect the train line with the nearest RRT with the closest RRTs to the nearest RRTS with the closest RRTs with the nearest RRTs of the station.
In December last year, Ghaziabad MP Gen (RETD) VK Singh had talked about the Ropeway project to connect two metro corridors.
He has said that it will not only relieve congestion on the streets in these areas but also provide better connectivity between red and blue lines.
Then, the feasibility report is prepared for urban passenger ropeway services.
