New Delhi: Central Delhi has recorded 8.5 mm rainfall this rainy season so far and is the most deterrent regency in the country in the country, according to the Indian Meteorology Department data (IMD).
1 June to 30 September is officially considered the rainy season in India.
Middle Delhi only received 8.5 mm rainfall against normal 53.3 mm since June 1, 84% deficiency.
The rain deficit at Kistwar District of Jammu and Kashmir is the largest in this country.
It has recorded 5 mm precipitation against normal 68.4 mm, a shortage of 93%.
In the national capital, East Delhi has received 19.2mm rainfall against normal 53.3mm – scarcity of 64%.
Northeast Delhi has measured 20.7mm rainfall, which is 61% below normal, and South Delhi gets 22.2 mm – 58% less than normal.
Delhi Southwest and New Delhi has recorded 29.6 mm rainfall and 27.7 mm so far – 50% under normal rainfall respectively.
North Delhi has received rainfall of 37.7 mm – 33% less than normal – and Northwest Delhi 29.8 mm rainfall – 22% under average precipitation.
Only West Delhi has received normal rainfall so far – 53.5mm against an average of 52.9mm.
The weather department on Monday said Delhi and the closest areas in Northwest India had to wait for another week to take their first monsone bath.
“Applicable meteorological conditions, large-scale atmospheric features and wind patterns forecasts by dynamic models indicate that there are no favorable conditions to be further developed from Southwest Monsun to the remaining parts of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Delhi Delhi six to seven of the following days, “said IMD in a statement.
The northern limit of southwest monsoon continues to pass through barmer, bhilwara, dholpur, aligarh, meerut, ambala, and amritsar, he said.
After arriving two days late in Kerala, the monsoon ran across the country, covering the east, middle, and side by side in Southwest India seven to 10 days earlier than usual.
The previous meteorological office has predicted that the wind system can reach Delhi on June 15, which will be 12 days early.
However, the west wind has blocked its progress to Delhi, the Part of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana.
Usually, Monsun reached Delhi on June 27 and covered all countries on July 8 last year, the wind system had reached Delhi on June 25 and covered the entire country on June 29.
