Delhi: More than half the active case in a closed zone

New Delhi: The number of detention zones in Delhi reached 37,540 on Tuesday, with more than 60,000 Covid-19 cases active in this closed area.
Exactly four weeks ago, the number of closed zones was 176 and there were only 557 active cases.
On December 21, Tuesday, Delhi reported 102 fresh Covid-19 cases with a 0.2% front minister.
Then, a massive surge in the case, which saw the highest of all time of 28,867 new cases in 24 hours on January 13, has produced a large leap in the number of active cases and detention zones.
While 62,817 active cases contained in 37,540 closed zones, 47,217 active cases were outside the area.
Delhi government officials said that a large number of active cases in the detention zone had completed seven days of house isolation, but the area could not be refreshed before 28 days from the last case according to the norm of the detention zone.
“The reason why the total number of active cases is higher than the number in the government’s health bulletin is because the detention zone inside is also calculated in the entire list,” said an official.
The southern district, which contributed 81, or 52.
2%, from the active zone at that time, now has 13,870, or nearly 37% of the city’s active red area.
According to official data, this district has 16,829 cases, which is 100,444 cases in the area contained and1,385 outside the zone.
The following south is the Western District with 7,333 detention zones.
However, this district has the highest number of active cases, 19,406, where 9,486 is in a closed area and 9,920 outside.
Other districts with a high number of active cases are northwest (15276), southwest (11,618) southeast (10,774) and north (10,541).
The northeastern district has the lowest number of active Covid cases – only 3,529, 436 patients sealed in 388 areas and 3,093 outside the red zone.
The Eastern District has 233 detention zones, the lowest between districts.
There 645 of 7,532 active patients were contained in the red area and 6,887 cases were outside this zone.
Shahdara has 1,736 detention zones with 3,380 from 4,669 in district active cases, while 3,289 cases are outside the sealed sites.
The central government recently reduced the quarantine period of at least 10 days to seven days and went with re-testing after house isolation.
The source said that the Delhi government has asked the center to reduce the 25-day scale period to the bottom of the detention zone in accordance with new guidelines.
