NEW DELHI: The hottest Delhi Disaster Management Authority’s arrangement has become a major disappointment for the feast and entertainment market.
According to the arrangement, no consent was allowed for keeping weddings and other social occasions in banquet halls, wedding halls and resorts.
Owners of those places are asked to return the improvement cash paid by clients for running marriages or they must agree to waive events in a subsequent date.
The owners contended that the entire sector will face a significant catastrophe and much more job losses when no judgment is provided by the state authorities shortly.
“The whole business is stressed despite us with greatest security steps in place. We have delivered a new petition into the LG Baijal along with the primary minister urging them to instantly allow weddings with limitations on the amount of guests in order we can begin preparations instantly,” said Rajeev Jain of Event and Entertainment Management Association.
Traders emphasised that following July 18, there are not any auspicious dates until November and they can not wait until next week to get the choice.
“Weddings are beginning from July 1 and we would like to perform all of the scheduled weddings until July 18 with protocols.
The majority of these reservations were delayed in April.
In the lack of consent from the authorities, individuals will begin cancelling them because nobody would love to receive their cash trapped for long,” added Jain.
When malls, markets, fountains, gardens, restaurants and clubs, where each day footfall runs into tens of thousands are permitted to start, why has the performance of feast halls/marriage halls become restricted, they wonder.
“We’d assured the government of following strict rules and forwarded the draft SOP into the LG and the CM.
We’re prepared to accept any alterations, as indicated by the jurisdiction.
Apart from the three sqm per individual space formulation, we also have suggested enabling 100 to 200 individuals depending on the area of this wedding place,” said Sanjay Khullar, president of Delhi Catering Association.
