New Delhi: Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has banned the celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi in public places in the capital due to restrictions related to Covid-19.
Only celebrations at the Festival’s home are permitted.
All religious, political, social, cultural and other meetings have been banned in the city because of the applicable Coronavirus pandemic.
“Chaturthi Ganesh will be celebrated in September and consider limiting that apply to meetings and congregations and the current Covid-19 pandemic situation, it has been decided that celebrations may not be permitted in public places and people may be advised to celebrate festivals in their homes only, “the DDMA command released on Tuesday night said.
Because of the world outbreak of the Coronavirus Pandemi early last year, the public celebration of various festivals was banned.
DDMA has asked all district judges and deputy deputy police commissioners and other authorities concerned to ensure that Lord Ganesha idols are not established in tents, pandal or public places this year or all types of permissions to be given for the procession.
Authorities are also asked to inform and squeal the functional functionality of these instructions for strict compliance.
DDMA, however, has not received a call whether Ramlilas will be permitted or not.
