NEW DELHI: The very first computerised attraction for entrance to entry-level courses for seats booked under the economically weaker area, disadvantaged groups and children with special needs in private colleges has been declared on Tuesday, according to the Directorate of Education.
“The very first computerised draw of lots for entrance into EWS, DG and also CWSN group for academic session 2021-22 has been held now,” a senior officer of the directorate said.
Beneath the Right to Education (RTE) Act of 2009, at least 25 percent of seats from entry courses — toddlers, toddlers, along with Class 1– need to be booked for kids in EWS and DG (22 percent ) and kids with disabilities (three percent ).
The application procedure for EWS admissions started from April 7 and the initial attraction was likely to be stored April 30.
But, it had been postponed as a result of next wave of this COVID-19 pandemic.

The procedure for overall admissions from the entrance level courses was delayed by more than two months this season in light of this pandemic.
