Delhi: O2 panel to send reports in a few days

New Delhi: The five-member panel appointed by the Supreme Court to conduct an audit on Delhi’s oxygen demand during the second wave has not submitted his final report.
“It might take a few more days,” said one of its members.
He added that the temporary report had explored mainly into the facts of this case, but the final report would also include recommendations on how to prevent the crisis in the future.
In a temporary report, the panel has suggested that the Delhi government overestimate oxygen requirements more than four times during the peak period of April 25-May.
It also told the court that the supply of excess oxygen to the capital could affect the supply to 12 conditions of high casel.
It leads to war words between BJP-LED centers and AAM AAM AADMI Party (AAP) in Delhi.
Dr.
Randeep Guleria, Director of AIIMS who heads the panel, then clarified that oxygen requirements are a dynamic process and requirements will change from day to day to time as a pandemic behaves.
“Maybe four times or less depends on the basic situation on a particular day.
Therefore, it should not be generalized,” he added.
The committee consists of four more members – B BHALLA, Delhi’s main secretary of the government; Dr.
Sandeep Budhiraja from Max Healthcare; Subodh Yadav, a joint secretary in the Ministry of Union Jal Shakti; and Sanjay Kumar Singh, explosive controllers in the Petroleum Safety Organization and Explosives.
Both Bhalla and Budhiraja question the conclusions in a temporary report.
The source says the final report will include input from all members.
