New Delhi: Drive Vaccination Delhi against Covid across other milestones on Thursday with a number of doses given to those in the 18-44 bracket that violated 1 crore-mark.
This figure has been reached in less than 150 days since this age group qualifies for vaccination.
At 7pm, Thursday, the total number of vaccine doses managed in Delhi reached 1,67.76,537, where more than 60% dose – 1.01.35.722 – had been given to those in the 18-44 year old bracket.
The total number of doses includes almost 1.2 of the first dose crore and approaches 52 second dose 52 lakh, which means that 34.6% of around 1.5 Crore recipients who qualify for vaccination in Delhi are now fully vaccinated.
The number of people in the 18-44 bracket is more than 20 lakh.
The available data also shows that 77.2% of Delhies who qualified for vaccination have received at least one dose.
While the highest number of doses has been given to those in the 18-44 year category, those aged 45 years or above have received 66,40,815 doses, which are slightly less than 40% of all vaccine doses given to date.
This is apart from the fact that the 92 lakh people in Delhi in the 18-44-year category are the last to qualify for inoculation, from 3.
May too, vaccination drives for this age group are closed more than once in May and June for shortcomings vaccine.
Apart from all these factors, more than 76% of all eligible people in this age group have received at least one dose of vaccine against Covid-19.
In comparison, those aged 60 years and over have received 22.82,127 vaccine doses, namely 13.6% of all vaccines managed in Delhi until now and they in the category of 45-59 years have been given 43,58,688 vaccine doses, which are Nearly 26% of all doses are given.
Of the 11 income districts in Delhi, those aged 18-44 years are more than 55% of all people who have been given a vaccine dose in each district.
The South Regency has provided nearly 17 doses of the lakh vaccine until now and the young population share in this district is as high as 64.2%.
Five other districts who see more than the average capital of youth participation – 60% – is North (64%), Southeast East (63.8%), northeast (61.8%), east (61.8%) and Shahdara (61.2)%) Regency.
The western district saw the least participation of young people in vaccine drives – 55% – compared to other districts.
Taking the total amount to the account, the North West District has provided a number of vaccine doses to date – 20.15,171.
