New Delhi: South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) launched the ‘tree prize’ initiative on Tuesday by presenting e-certificates to the Chairman of Justice NGT Adarsh Kumar Goel who received a young Maulshree tree planted in Safdarjung Enclave.
This initiative allows people to plant young trees in one of the 20 parks identified in the South Delhi area and name it after dear ones.
The applicant’s name or prize receiver will be placed on a tree guard.
The southern corporation will take care of young trees throughout his life and issue an electronic certificate to the applicant.
