NEW DELHI: Having a movement to capture of miscreants in town, the Delhi Police on Sunday detained a drug peddler and captured one kilogram of cocaine worth Rs 1.
5 crore out of his ownership.
The medication provider was recognized as Sumit, a resident of Delhi.
With his arrest, the group of Narcotics Cell, Crime Branch Delhi has broken supply series of contraband heroin clandestinely busy in the field of Aman Vihar.
According to authorities, an FIR has been registered under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
Information was obtained in the Narcotics Mobile, Crime Branch that during the lockdown period enforced because of Covid-19, a few offenders were still laughing in trafficking and proliferating of contraband Heroin at Delhi.
Therefore, intelligence has been accumulated within the actions of criminals, previously included in circumstances of NDPS Act in addition to those with no prior document but supposed to participate in these illegal actions.
On May 27, authorities received a tip off that Sumit will be providing heroin to a person in the region of Aman Vihar at the daytime .
The police group promptly swung into action and put a snare in Aman Vihar field and apprehended Sumit while he had been planning to provide the contraband heroin into somebody.
Additional analysis is still in progress to identify the whole series of drug trafficking in the situation.
