New Delhi: Special cell Delhi police broke the fake visa racket and arrested six people, officials said on Tuesday.
Equipment used for preparation for fake visas from various countries, especially European countries, also recover, they said.
A total of 225 passports, including 90 Indians, 124 Nepal and 11 Bangladesh, a large number of fake visa stickers from various countries were among the restored things from their ownership, police said.
The defendant has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar (49), Lakhvinder Singh (44), Rajveer Singh (51), Anil Paul (53), Dushyant (38) and Rajkumar (29), they said.
The police received information that the racket, involved in the preparation and setting of fake visas, operates from Delhi.
Acting on the tip-off that someone named Sanjeev would fulfill his contact in Janakpuri’s institutional area on Friday, a trap was laid and three accused accused, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (specific cells) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
During the interrogation, Sanjeev told the police that his work was a visa seeker hunting.
Sanjeev assured them who needed a visa that he could easily get it.
“He used to submit a visa at VFS Global Pvt.
Ltd., Shivaji Stadium, New Delhi and deposited his client’s passport along with the Visa Application Form at the Center,” said a police statement.
He used to provide his office address on the visa application form so that the forms were rejected, along with the client’s passport, sent to the location they then used to make a fake visa with the help of their Paul and Dushyant’s colleague, who was running a visa printing office in the Laxmi Nagar area DCP said.
On Sunday, Paul was arrested from Laxmi Nagar.
Paul led the police to his office at Laxmi Nagar from where Associate Dushyant was arrested.
Then, Rajkumar also Nabbed, said Yadav.
According to the statement, to prepare fake visa stickers, which are accused of using a radium layer on A4 size glossy paper using the scanning printing method.
Then the details, including the Petitioner’s photo, printed using a good quality color laser printer using the ‘Draw Draw’ software, the statement said.
After the radium layer, the hologram is repaired on visa paper.
The defendant has their own hologram manufacturing unit, said the statement.
After preparing a roll, the paper is cut into a form specified according to the size of a particular visa, the police said.
