New Delhi: Suresh Chandra, who was appointed as a legal counsel for the Police Commissioner Delhi Rakesha Asthana had submitted his resignation on a health reason, said an official on Tuesday.
A senior police officer said the retired officer was only a temporary consultant and was under contract for only six months.
He was almost at the end of his term of office and submitted his resignation on a health reason.
His replacement has not been appointed, the officer added.
“Suresh Chandra has submitted his resignation from the position of consultant to work as a legal counsel for CP, Delhi on the health land and the same thing has been received by the Police Commissioner, Delhi,” according to the order from the Delhi Police Station Commissioner stated.
Officers have been directed to deposit all government articles, if any, are issued at official capacity, which is stated.
Chandra has served as Union’s legal secretary before being appointed as a legal counsel for the police chief.
