The cyber crime division of Delhi Police is warning users to be careful about certain phone numbers that may be used to dupe you.

These phone numbers claim that there are some KYC issues and your SIM may get blocked unless you make a call to a certain number.

Note that these phone numbers are not verified and may be used by scammers.

Avoid calling any phone number for KYC or any other services and never download any app or make any payment to these phone numbers.

Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal too warned subscribers about e-KYC frauds.

Note that TeamViewer Quick Support is a legit remote desktop sharing application.

The problem here is that very few smartphone users know how it works.

With any remote desktop app, the host gets access to your mobile screen and can see whatever you are typing or seeing on your mobile.

With this, the scammers try to steal passwords of social media accounts and online banking accounts including UPI pins.
