Delhi Police Start Shift 8 Hours Based on Pilots

New Delhi: The eight-hour shift system that is discussed in Delhi police has begun in the Rohini district based on pilots.
All 10 police stations are on the new time system.
The new E-Chittha software to automatically distribute assignments to police personnel is also being tried.
Integrated e-Chittha and 8-hour shift programs are expected not only to reduce the workload of styles, but also create transparency in connection with the allocation of responsibility.
On Monday, Police Commissioner Delhi Rakesh Asthana asked DCPs from all districts to see how e-chittha could be included in the 8-hour shift system.
The pilot in Rohini will help evaluate mergers and synchronize two initiatives.
After years only discussed, the 8-hour shift system finally exists.
With the separation of laws and order and integration of police control rooms with the local police station, the power of police personnel in each police station increased.
Shifting runs from 8am to 4pm until 16:00 to midnight and midnight until 8am, but this can differ depending on the police and regional office.
E-Chittha software, developed by IPS officers, aims to reduce the human interface while mobilizing staff at the police station.
“The system must be integrated with a 8-hour shift system to ensure a time-bound shift for a police officer,” explained an officer.
“This software automatically produces a place for police personnel must be posted, while the integration with a 8-hour shift system ensures that certain people only do their duties according to the Timing Shift.
We apply e-chittha at 10 police stations with a pilot base and 8 hour shift Implemented as a pilot in the Rohini district.
After the results of both analyzed, further action on their expansion will be taken.
“TimesViewCops posted at police stations often work too high due to lack of regular working hours.
The Shift system is a very necessary step that is expected to lead to more efficiently.
The 8-hour shift system currently has PurView personnel to the rank of sub-inspectors.
This step will not give a break to the people deployed at the level of the police station.
The e-Chittha program will provide information about any police deployment spot at a certain time.
Toi spoke to the police to find out whether the integration was helpful.
One of them said, “Changes will definitely be productive, but we want it universal.
For example, Sho must remain at the police station longer than Timing Shift, so how to do about this.
When a sho is on leave, the officer is immediately below This takes over.
This same system can be adopted every day to allow eight working hours of work.
Also, to meet security demand, police personnel are often deployed far from the police station.
There must be a way for the presence of adequate staff at the police station at times like that to ensure an unbroken timing shift.
