New Delhi: Although the cold and shadow of Covid-19, the enthusiastic crowd was seen in Rajpath to celebrate the 73rd Republican Day on Wednesday.
It was the second year in a row when the Republican Day was celebrated in the shadow of a pandemic without a foreign trader as the guest chief.
The day saw many of the first, which included the launch of the program “Shatedon Ko Shat Shat Naman” by National Cadet Corps, Grand Flypast by 75 Indian Air Force aircraft, cultural performances by 480 dancers chosen through the National Vande Bharatam competition, shown from 10 rolls each 75 meters respectively prepared during the “Kala Kumbh” event and the installation of 10 large LED screens for a better audience experience.
The celebration began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid respect for martyrs at the National War Memorial.
Continuing the trend of wearing a headgear, modi wearing a hat from Uttarakhand and wrapped in stealing from Manipur.
Later, the opening of the national flag was followed by 21-weapons salut.
Parade began with President Ram Nath Kovind took salute.
Special settings made this time and the audience was made to sit with a strict social and covid blasphemy distance set at all entrances.
Only vaccinated adults are fully permitted, while children under 15 years are not permitted.
Even annual cultural programs by children are replaced by dancer performance.
For a better watch experience, five LED screens on each side of Rajpath are installed.
Parade starts at 10:30 a.m.
to ensure better visibility of the parade and flypast.
Although there are no main guests, special invitations include driver autorickshaw, construction workers, sanitary health workers and front lines.
The marching contingent shows the evolution of the uniform and Indian army weapons for the past 75 years.
Jammu & Kashmir’s ray regiment was in a uniform worn in 1971 and carrying a 7.62mm independent loading rifle.
Assam regiment was uniformed from 1962 and brought Rifles .303.
There are 25 Tableaux, including 12 from the state and nine of different ministries or departments, two of Drdo and each of the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy.
They were followed by the appearance by the Seema Bhawani BSF motorcycle team and Himveers from the Indo-Tibetan border police, who stole the show with their brave action.
This event was completed with the Amrit formation where 17 Jaguar planes made 75 numbers.
After a national anthem, Tricolor balloon was released in the air.
