Delhi recorded nearly 1,200 dengue cases in October

New Delhi: More than 1,530 cases of dengue fever have been reported in Delhi this year so far, almost 1,200 recorded in October alone, the highest number for this month in the last four years, official data shows.
The national capital has registered a higher number than 2,022 Dengue cases for October in 2017, according to the numbers owned by the National Citizenship Authority.
Five deaths from dengue fever were registered on Monday.
With this, the total deaths in the city caused by a disease transmitted through vectors achieving six, also the highest since 2017 when the official deadly calculation reached 10.
According to a report on the disease transmitted by a vector released on Monday by Municipal Delhi Selatan Corporation (SDMC ), Nodal City Body to sow data on this issue, 1,537 Dengue cases have been recorded this season until October 30, the highest number since 2018 for the same period.
The number of cases reported between January 1 and October 30 in the previous three years was 612 in 2020; 1,069 in 2019 and 1,595 in 2018, the report showed.
Of the total dengue cases in Delhi this year, 1,196 has been reported in October to 30 days a month.
The count of dengue cases for October in the previous five years was – 1,517 in 2016; 2,022 in 2017; 1,114 in 2018; 787 in 2019; and 346 in 2020.
The total number of cases this year until October 23 is 1,006 and the official death toll until then was one.
So, more than 530 new cases are recorded in one week.
In September this year, 217 cases of dengue fever were recorded, the highest for this month in the last three years.
A total of 1,072 cases and one death were recorded throughout the year by 2020, according to reports released by SDMC.
The number of deaths from dengue fever in the previous year was established in two in 2019; Four in 2018; 10 in 2017; and 10 of 2016.
1,196 cases reported in October, so far are the highest number of cases recorded in a month this year.
In 2021, January recorded the Dengue No case, February, March 10, April 10, May 12, seven June, July sixteen and August 7.
Bloody mosquito larvae breed in clear water, while malaria develops even in dirty water.
Cases of diseases transmitted through vectors are usually reported between July and November, but the period can stretch until mid-December.
According to Civic reports, 160 Malaria cases and 81 cases of Chikungunya have also been reported until October 30 this year in Delhi.
In previous years, the total dengue case reported was – 4,431 in 2016; 4,726 in 2017; 2,798 in 2018; 2,036 in 2019 and 1.072 in 2020, according to a report.
Malaria, dengue fever and chikungunya accompanied by high fever and therefore, the doctor felt that people might suspect that they had contracted Covid-19.
In the midst of a surge in cases of dengue fever, three civil bodies have intensified their drives fogging and spraying them.
In 2015, the city had witnessed a large-scale fever outbreak, with the total number of cases reported across 10,600 in October itself, making it the worst outbreak of a disease borne by a vector in the national capital since 1996.
