Delhi recorded the hottest day of the year at 43.5 ° C on June 30

New Delhi: ‘Severe Heatwave’ gripped the city on Wednesday with mercury rose to 43.5 ° C, seven notches above normal, and the highest this year.
Like Tuesday, Najafgarh is the most hottest place in Delhi at 44.4 ° C.
The condition of the Heatwave is likely to continue in an isolated part of the city on Thursday.
The lack of rainfall along with hot winds blowing from Rajasthan caused severe weather conditions, said Kuldeep Srivastava IMD.
There may be a pause on Friday in the form of a dust or storm storm.
Wind from Rajasthan: Air in poor zonemet officials said the wind from Rajasthan begins 50 km / h has driven Delhi’s air quality into the ‘poor’ category, with the overall air quality index (AQI) from 206 on Wednesday compared to reading Tuesday 195 (Moderate).
Srivastava, also the head of the regional weather forecasting center (RWFC) in Delhi, said that even though the condition of the Heatwa is expected to apply throughout the region even on Thursday, the intensity will be lower.
“We will not see a severe heatwave like Wednesday, but mercury will remain above normal.” The maximum maximum temperature can fall to around 41 ° C and further down to 39 ° C the next day because of the possibility of storm activities.
The IMD defines the Heatwave Day when a maximum is 4.5 ° C and more above the normal temperature and maximum at least 40 ° C.
The heatwave is also stated if a maximum touch of 45 ° C or higher.
A ‘severe heatwa’ is stated when a maximum is 6.5 ° C or more above normal.
