Delhi: Restaurants seek rent from landlords

New Delhi: National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) has sent an open letter to the Mall manager and landowners throughout the country to support the restaurant industry, which has been severely beaten by the third wave of Covid.
Previously, it was written to PM who was seeking direct assistance to the industry.
The letter signed by President NRA Kabir Suri stated that the third wave of Covid had become a rough shock.
“For an industry that has been burdened with massive losses last year, this has happened as a body blow that will not be able to be detained by many people unless actively supported by all stakeholders,” he said.
NRA has suggested certain direct steps to prevent instant business death.
Some suggestions include complete neglect of rental and maintenance of public areas in terms of F & B business closed for eating and income shares for the period when limited operations are enforced.
Another important request from this industry is not the minimum rent guaranteed for three months after that.
Suri explained how the industry looked at a gloomy future and needed support for survival.
“The owner and owner of the mall make a significant contribution to our survival through difficult times of the two first waves of the pandemic.
We need support from all stakeholders once more to survive,” he said.
Ending Covid spread as an unprecedented crisis, Suri said the waves would hurt consumer sentiments that proved the disaster for the sector that had a fixed cost.
