New Delhi: The day after farmers rejoice to go to their homes, the stretch of Tikri’s border from Rohtak Road was opened for vehicle movements on Sundays, while the work was ongoing to clean the protest sites in Ghazipur and Singhu bordering the national capital.
According to the police, the barricade was placed on one side of the road on Rohtak Road deleted in October to allow traffic movements.
The other side of the CarrieGeway, where the farmers were nervous, really cleaned by Delhi police on Sunday, they said.
The multi-layer barriers placed in Rohtak Road were completely removed after the departure of the farmers, said a senior police officer.

Thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have put a siege on the Delhi border on November 26 last year, demanding every controversial agricultural law, which was revoked last month.
According to farmer leaders, Singhu border sites have been released by more than 95 percent and cleaning exercises have been initiated by farmer groups and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on Sundays.
“Cleaning work occurs at the Singhu border.
More than 20 JCBs and more than 100 volunteers work here tirelessly to clean the stretch as soon as possible,” said representatives from Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM).
He said that the barricade layer, large stones and barbed cables were removed from the border.
Other farmer leaders and SKM members, who pioneered agitation, Abhimanyu Kohar said that Singhu’s border protest sites had been released more than 95 percent.
“Some organizations were involved in cleaning exercises there.
Prohibiting several langars and 1-2 tents, most of the protest sites on the Singhu border have been cleaned.
Langars is for volunteers involved in cleaning training.

On the Ghazipur border, more than half of farmers have emptied the protest site and went to their original places.
The process of demolition of the remaining tent is ongoing.

On November 29, a bill was passed in parliament to revoke the law, one of the main demands of the farmers.
However, farmers refused to end their protests, demanding that the government fulfill their other demands that cover legal guarantees at the minimum support price (MSP) and withdrawing police cases against them.
When the center received a delayed demand, Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) suspended the farm movement and announced that they would return home on December 11 (Friday).
