New Delhi: Delhi Government Special Advantages School (SOS) opened the door for students on Monday.
Celebrating the Foundation Day, new students interact with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
“Today we launched the Delhi Govt School of Excellence class and welcomed the first batch of 2200 students.
India 21st century requires experts with special skills and mindsets.
These schools will set new standards in the education system,” Tweeted Sisodia.
As part of the pilot, the Delhi government has established 20 sausages, which will offer four different streams – Technique of Science and Education Technology (STEM), Humanities, 21st Century Skills and Visual Arts.
These schools are affiliated with the new Delhi School Education Council (DSEB) and will follow the international Baccalaurate curriculum.
On Monday, Sisodia will visit one of the schools and 19 others will be connected virtually.
2,794 students have been chosen to enter the stem, the humanities and the flow of the 21st century the upper class offered by SOS.
About 26,687 registration is made for four types of systems.
In eight stem schools, 960 students have been offered an entrance ticket in class IX, while 814 students have been selected for class XI.
There are five schools respectively in the class of 21st century classes and skills, where 420 and 600 students have been chosen.
Regardless of the stem, reception in all other streams is only for class IX.
Close to two-third of elected students came from schools and schools assisted by the government, while the rest came from a recognized private school.
The existing Rajkiya Pratibha Vidyalaya and the School of Excellence are being converted to SOS.
