New Delhi: Delhi Disaster Management Authority has enabled city schools to reopen in part for class X and XII students from Monday for practical classes and work related to receipt such as guidance and counseling.

DDMA issued orders on Sunday stated that “class X students XII were allowed to visit their school for jobs related to receipt, including counseling / guidance and practical activities related to the Board exam”.

The school, however, could not be reopened on Monday itself when the school authority said they had not received orders from Doe.
Ashok Pandey, Director, Ahlcon School said, “We have not received orders from DoE on the modality of reopening schools.
After we accept this order, we will decide.” In January this year, schools have been reopened for class X and XII students for practical classes.
At that time, approval from parents needed.
The school has been completely closed since the beginning of the second covid wave in April.
On July 29, the Delhi government has invited advice from students, teachers and parents about the reopening of school and college.
From responses, 58% said they support the reopening of educational institutions.
“Private schools welcome decisions taken by Delhi Disaster Management Authorities.
We are all, along with our staff and parents, will together ensure the security of our students.
We look forward to full and positive support by our parents,” said Bharat Arora, Secretary General of the Unaaid Private School Action Committee.
DDMA orders reiterated that except for two activities permitted on Sundays for class X and XII students, all schools, colleges, training institutions and other educational institutions will remain closed, and online and long-distance learning must be permitted and must be encouraged and must be encouraged and must be encouraged pushed.
