New Delhi: Following the protocol Covid-19 schools in Delhi has been reopened for students 9 to 12 standard on Wednesday, nearly one and a half years after the institution was closed due to a surge in infections.
Students from various schools in the national capital enthusiastic and excited about the resumption of the physical classroom.
Schools were ordered closed in the national capital in March 2020 after a surge of cases Covid-19.
“Class physically much better than online classes.
All my friends are waiting for this day,” a student in grade 12 Rajkiya Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya in West Vinod Nagar told today.

Meanwhile, the other 10 grade students of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Pusa Road Kumkum said: “There is no doubt that there is no fear but after all, we have to study and sit for the exam.”
Schools in the national capital opened with all protocols Covid-19 in place and in accordance with standard operating procedures issued by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
Parents of the students were expressing concern over Covid protocol implementation.
“We are concerned but the school is the future of our children.
The government has previously said that the school will be closed until November.
May they follow the protocol Covid in school,” said a parent of a student.
Ritu Bhagat, other parents of the students said: “There is fear but we must take precautions and follow the protocol Covid including social distance and sanitation.”
“It’s been about one and a half years since the school has been closed.
Learning is very important,” he said.
According to DDMA command recently, colleges, universities and training institutions along with schools in Delhi was allowed to reopen in stages and follow a certain standard operating protocols (SOP) from 1 September.
Deputy Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, who also holds the portfolio of education announced the decision that the school will follow the “blended mode” class online and offline to ensure that those who are at home do not miss the study.
Sisodia said that no student will be forced to come to school and that will be mandatory parental consent for children to return to school and if they do not permit, students will not be imposed or considered absent.
After the first wave Covid-19 hit the country, schools were closed in March 2020.
They reopened for classes 9 to 11 in Delhi on February 5, 2021, but once again closed on April 9 after Covid-19 case rose a second wave of the pandemic.
