Noida: A 23-year-old student died while his three friends were injured when the car where they returned from Agra hit the divider on the Yamuna freeway and changed the turtle on Saturday night.
The accident occurred around 6pm near the sports area of Noida City when Shubham, a resident of Bhajanpura Delhi, lost control over Swift and crashed into the divider.
Shubham and his three friends went to Agra for a day trip and returned home when the accident occurred.
Three of them are women.
Arvind Pathak, Sho of Dankaur Police Station, said the young men borrowed cars – DL3CC-3726 – from other friends.
Apart from Shubham, the three of them were Bhavya Jain (28) and Priyanshi Arora (23), both residents of Bhajanpura, and Maaanni Nagar, who came from Ghaziabad.
“The accident occurred around 6pm when the driver lost control of the car and it crashed into the divider.
Emergency response vehicles took him to the Kailash Hospital.
The young man who drove the car was declared to die on arrival and the three were treated due to a critical injury,” said Pathak.
In another accident, a 23-year-old man riding a dead bicycle when a truck hit him from behind at Nida-Greater Noida Expressway.
Abdul Farukh was on a bicycle with a friend when they were hit by a truck near the Samsung factory in sector 126.
While Abdul died, his friend suffered a critical injury.
They are on our way to Delhi.
Okhla vihar resident, Abdul rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The police said the driver escaped, leaving the truck behind.
The body has been sent for autopsy.
The third accident occurred near the Ghanghola Kasna area, where a biker died and the riding buckle suffered an injury after a two-wheel hit a divider on Friday.
The police said both – Awadhesh and Nitin Sahu – did not wear a helmet and may be drunk.
Nitin was taken to the hospital, where he died.
“Both were taken to the hospital, but Nitin died.
Awadhesh was referred to the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
He is still critical,” said Sudhir Kumar, Sho of Kasna Police Station.
