NEW DELHI: A court Wednesday refused a Delhi Police plea for 3 days of custodial interrogation of both Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar within the alleged murder of a young wrestler in Chhatrasal Stadium here, also delivered him to judicial custody.
Sushil Kumar, who had been born before Metropolitan Magistrate Rashmi Gupta in the conclusion of this police custody, has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
He’s facing charges of murder, cupable homicide and kidnapping.
The worldwide wrestler was detained on May 23.
After his arrest, the court had remanded him to seven months police custody, that was afterwards extended by four longer days.
