New Delhi: The capital on Friday recorded 62 Covid cases in the last 24 hours, the highest one-day calculation in more than three months.
The State Health Department, in his latest bulletin, also confirmed two new deaths because of the viral infection – the spread was increasing again, although not far from a worrying rate witnessed in a runup into the second wave of pandemic in April and May.
At that time, there was a lack of beds, oxygen, and important medicines at the hospital in Delhi.
With new cases, the calculation of Covid infection in the city reaches 14,40,332.
From this, more than 14.1 lakh patients have recovered from this disease.
A total of 49,874 tests were carried out daily ago, including 38,408 RPCR / CBNAat / Truthful NAT tests, while the rest were an antigen test that was fast.
Toll stands at 25,093, including two reported on Friday.
Before this, the city did not report death because Covid in November.
Last month, Delhi recorded four deaths because of the five infections five people surrendered to viral diseases in September.
The number of active cases in the city is 371.
Of these, 152 patients were being treated in various city hospitals and 156 were in house isolation.
There are 111 detention zones in the capital.
Delhi reported 25 Covid cases on Monday, 33 on Tuesday, 54 on Wednesday and 40 on Thursday.
Doctors say there is an urgent need to increase steps to prevent the spread of disease, which includes increased testing, enforcement of more stringent mask rules and speeding up vaccination drives.
“Increased cases and their marginal levels.
However, it should not make us complacent.
We need to increase testing to be able to identify potential areas where diseases spread and enforce strict steps to prevent density density.
The mask rules must be strictly enforced,” said a senior doctor from Lok Nayak Hospital.
The hospital has 470 covid beds, which are only six occupied on Friday.
Other hospitals also have very low occupancy from Covid beds, showing data.
“We were unable to buy other surges in Covid cases because we struggled with an increase in OPD and IPD visits due to mosquito default diseases and respiratory problems caused by air pollution,” said Dr.
Arun Gupta, said Delhi’s medical council president, said.
