Delhi: The air pollution level is likely to surge in Diwali

New Delhi: Delhi air continues to remain in the ‘very poor’ category for the second day in a row on Wednesday with a total air quality index of 314, marked by shallow fog in the morning.
The level of pollution is expected to surge in diwali and AQI is likely to slip to a higher end of the ‘very poor’ category or even touch the ‘severe’ category on Thursday and Friday.
A strong surface wind can then result in an increase on November 6.
The impact of propellers in neighboring countries in Delhi air is calculated to 8% of the PM2.5 level.
Estimated body quality air system and weather forecasting and research (Safar) calculates 3,271 of the fire on Wednesday.
Mahesh Palawat from Weather Skymet, a personal weather forecasting agent, said, “Because of the circulation of cyclones in the Northwest Rajasthan, the direction of the wind turned south-east and east.
Wind speeds slow down during the transition phase and light wind caused the accumulation of pollutants.” Track the level of pollution in Your city, air is expected to decrease on Thursday.
The sub-committee suffered to implement a multi-storey response action plan (GRAP) held a meeting on Wednesday and then said, “Aqi is likely to deteriorate marginally on November 4 and may be at the higher end of the ‘very poor’ category in November.
5 and 6 When the wind switches to the northwest.
But even with higher emissions, the model prediction does not show air quality regarding the ‘severe’ sign.
“Safar warns that city air is likely to worsen if there are fireworks in Diwali, even though all pyrotechnics have been prohibited.
The bulletin said the share of burning propellers would likely increase from November 4 because the wind level of transportation reached Delhi from the northwest where the agricultural fire was located.
“In addition, the condition of local winds is very calm with a little ventilation expected for the next three days,” he said.
The forecasting body has estimated that if there are no firecrackers that explode in Delhi, the level of PM2.5 is likely to be at the top end of ‘very poor’ for 4-6 November.
However, even if there are half emissions of 2019 fireworks this year, then AQI will be vulnerable to touch the ‘severe’ category in that period.
The IMD has expected the surface wind at a speed of 20-3 kmps on the day on November 6 and 7.
It will help spread pollutants and help air slightly increase, although Safar said it would fluctuate between ‘very poor’ high and ‘severe level.
Tanushree Ganguly, Leading Programs, Energy Councils, Environment and Water, said, “Pre-emptive steps to control emissions from local sources must be carried out earliest.
The government must also improve public messages to urge citizens not to explode firecrackers in Diwali.
This will help avoid additional pollution loads.
