Delhi: The main supplier of ammunition to the gang held

New Delhi: In a large breakthrough, Delhi police special cells have captured one of the main suppliers of bullets with Delhi-NCR gangs and recovering the cache of 200 bullets from him.
The suspect has been identified as RAM Krishan Singh alias Mastiaji (58), a popular teacher in his hometown in Bhojpur and neighboring areas in Bihar, who doubled as a supplier of ammunition on the side.
According to DCP (Cell Special) Pramod Kushwaha, this suspect holds a bullet around Rs 100 per piece and sells it for Rs 400-1,000 per piece depending on the profile and customer needs.
If the customer looks desperate and wants the supply immediately, the price moves accordingly.
Singh has carved a niche for himself in the field of ammunition supply.
“Unlike pistols, bullets cannot be produced locally and are sourced from weapons, police and military factories, and thus their suppliers in high demand,” explained an officer.
Singh was on a police radar to supply cartridges to Maois.
“A team led by Inspector Ravinder Tyagi has trailed Singh and his colleagues for months.
He was previously involved in several cases of weapons / ammunition trade in Munger (Bihar) and Delhi.
He supplies weapons and bullets to criminals from various countries such as Bihar, Delhi and NCR, including Naxalit Odisha, Gadchiroli, “said DCP Kushwaha.
The police received information about his movements in Nizamuddin and put a trap.
He was arrested with a bag containing five pistols of 0.32 bore and 200 cartridges of 0.315 bore.
During interrogation, Singh revealed that he came into contact with a gangster that lured him in this trade in Bihar.
Initially, he looked after the network in Bihar but because of the high demand from criminals / naxalit from various countries, he extended his realm to Odisha, Maharashtra and other countries including Delhi / NCR and became famous for the name of the code of Mastiaji.
