New Delhi: A 27-year-old man suspected of trying to commit suicide along with a woman outside the Supreme Court here surrendered to injury on Saturday morning, police said.
The man lasted 65 percent of injury burns, while the 24-year-old woman suffered 85 percent of burns in the bid of self-rhythm on Monday.
Both were treated at Ram Hospital Manohar Lohia, they said.
The police said the woman underwent treatment.
They said he was from Ghazipur Uttar Pradesh and was allegedly raped by MP Party Bahujan Samaj Atul Rai in 2019.
MP has undergone custody of the judicial in this case for the past two years.
Before trying to commit suicide, the woman, along with the Associate, has recorded a video directly Facebook, where he revealed his identity and alleged that he had submitted a rape case against RAI in 2019.
He also accused several senior police officers and others supported the defendant.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) Deepak Yadav at the time said the investigation was underway to ensure the right reason, but allegedly he tried to commit suicide because he was afraid of being alleged in the fraud party.
In Facebook’s live video, he claimed that an undigested warrant was issued to him by the local court and that he was called by the judge.
In March, the woman submitted a request at the Supreme Court, seeking the transfer of rape cases for a fair trial from Allahabad to Delhi on the grounds of the threat to his life.
Then in August, a local court in Varanasi issued an ordinary warrant against him in the case of forgery based on complaints submitted by the MP brother accused.
