Delhi: The panel confirmed 6 deaths due to dengue fever this season

New Delhi: Expert Committee with officials from the Public Health Department Three civil bodies have confirmed the death of six Delhi residents because of dengue fever this season.
The time of their death and other details have not been verified, said a Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) official in anonymity.
With a recent increase in cases and dengue deaths in some cases, hospitals have begun to submit reports to civilian bodies, which are responsible for field investigations, verification and data compilation.
In total, 34 reports of death came from different hospitals, the official said.
“This includes details of eight patients from Apollo Hospital and 11 of the Safdarjung Hospital.
This was examined by the expert committee, also including officials from Delhi Government, who verified the reasons for death and submitted their initial reports on Friday,” he explained.
“Of the 34 reports received from the hospital in Delhi, 13 died from bleeding and the rest because of comorbidity / other reasons.
And of these 13 people, six belongs to Delhi.
Their death took place between July and October,” said South Korporan officials.
The official said that people with symptoms such as dengue fever came in large quantities of neighboring countries for better care at Delhi Hospital.
“But according to the standard procedure, we don’t mention them in a weekly number of patients / deaths because of dengue fever.” Dengue cases in the city have crossed 1,000 marks and has reached 1.006 to October 23.
In comparison, 489 cases of dengue fever were reported to date last year.
Of the total cases reported so far, 665 was reported only in October.
During October 2020, 346 Dengue cases were reported, 787 cases were reported in October 2019 and 1,114 cases were witnessed in October 2018.
September and October were considered the peak month for dengue fever infections.
Until October 23, the maximum case (98) was reported in the SDMC area attended by North Corporation (71), 36 in the eastern corporation and six in New Delhi City Council.
Sixty-eight patients were not investigated after being investigated.
The death of the first bloody fever was officially stated last week a 35-year-old woman from Sarita Vihar who died in a private hospital.
His death was examined and confirmed by the Expert Committee.
