New Delhi: The day after four people died when the vehicle container was upside down and fell on the IGI Stadium near the Auto in Central Delhi, the police on Sunday found that the driver did not have a very heavy license.
Police said the truck owner, Jitender, was arrested for negligence because he did not examine the driver’s document before allowing him to drive a vehicle.
“When asked about newspapers, Drivers – Pratish Chaudhary, 29 – Cannot provide valid documents,” said an officer.
The probe further revealed that he had driven a truck over the past six months without the right documents.
“He is not experienced to drive a vehicle like that and cannot control the truck,” the officer added.
The truck was also found overloaded.
The team under Sho (Evate) Sanjeev Kumar made arrest in this case.
