NEW DELHI: Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has broken a”sextortion racket” being conducted by Mewat-based offenders and detained the mastermind out of Gurgaon.
The defendant was identified as Mohammed Barkat Ali.
Raids have been conducted in Mewat area to arrest other members of this racket.
The racketeers employed to lure folks on social networking platforms utilizing fake IDs of women and commence a sex conversation.

Back in September 2020, Barkat Ali and his aides dedicated large loot of Rs 12.8 lakh money by breaking up an ATM system of HDFC Bank at Mysore, Karnataka.
Naturally, the gang turned out on sextortion with Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Tinder program, etc..
