New Delhi: Two detainees at Tihar Prison Delhi allegedly attacked other inmates with Barber scissors while having a haircut, officials said on Sundays.
According to the Prison Authority, the incident took place on December 10 in the middle prison No.
8 from Tihar when two inmates, while they cut their hair by barber in their ward, suddenly attacking the barber prisoners using barber scissors.
“During the wrestling, the victim and one of the attackers suffered an injury and immediately separated by prison staff.
The injury to the two prisoners was not serious,” said a senior prison official.
They were sent to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for the treatment where they were dismissed on the same day and returned to prison, he said.
The Nagar Hari Police Station received information from the hospital about Yogesh the victim, who was found to admit after being allegedly attacked by other inmates, police said.
What hurt doesn’t want to file a complaint.
However, the incident information was received from the Prison Authority, said a senior police officer.
The case has been registered in this issue under the relevant parts of Indian Criminal Code and appropriate legal actions will be taken according to the investigation in this problem, the officer said.
