Delhi to take Covid Care to more houses

New Delhi: Given the alarming increase in the new Covid-19 case in the capital, the Delhi government will increase the isolation infrastructure of his house, which currently has the capacity to manage 25,000 patients, by hiring the second institution to monitor patients recovering at home.
On Friday, the number of Covid patients received at the hospital was 1,390, while they were in house isolation was 20,695.
Although it has increased the number of covid beds in hospitals, the Delhi government realizes that it must quickly improve the isolation management system of his house too.
Health Minister Satyendar Jain quoted experts say the omicron variant of Coronavirus is lighter and less deadly.
“Just go to the hospital if you have severe symptoms,” he said on Friday.
“Otherwise, home care is fully feasible.” The minister reiterated that the isolation period of the house had been reduced to seven days from the beginning of 14.
“If the fever does not return for three days after the 7-day period of house isolation, no need to test, you can return to work,” Jain added.
He also tweeted on Thursday that if someone came into contact with a person who positively covid but has no symptoms, no need to test.
The Delhi government has contracted a agency to monitor people who recover at home and to shift them into hospitals if they change seriously.
“As soon as someone tests a positive, the Chief District Medical Officer’s office sends them a covid kit that contains, among others, an oximeter,” said a government official.
“At present, the agency can contact 25,000 patients per day, with 250 personnel available for telephoton monitoring at a certain time.” The official added that considering the sharp increase in the number of infected people in all cities, the state government was in the process of involving other institutions to meet additional patients in home insulation.
At present, most people test positively do not require hospitalization, the official said.
“On Thursday, for example, 7,421 calls were carried out for new patients, including 2,270 said they were stable and 4,700 claimed not to have symptoms at all and would not require daily monitoring.
We distribute 340 oximeters to individuals who do not have it,” he said.
“One patient must be transferred to the Covid treatment center from home isolation while four are shifted to the hospital.” He revealed that lately, 62 house isolation patients needed hospitalization.
On Thursday, Jain has also tweeted that Covid’s positive patients recover in the house needed to isolate themselves from other household members, remain in the spacious room with cross ventilation, wear a triple-layer mask, take special care and remain alone Busy, including doing telephone conversations with family and relatives from time to time.
According to sources in the Delhi government, the oil ambulance operational fleet is 691.
These include 320 taxis used in the Covid vaccination center that can be transferred for patients who call the 102 ambulance assistance channel if needed.
On Thursday, there are 1,644 calls for ambulance services, according to the source.
