New Delhi: Delhi Police on Saturday issued a traffic advisor ahead of the Republican Day Parade training next Sunday.
According to advisors, exercises for the Republican 2022 parade will be held in Rajpath on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from Vijay Chowk to the Indian gate.
During exercise, traffic will be limited at the Rajapth-Rafi Marg, Rajpath-Janpath, Rajpath-Man Singh Road and Rajpath-C-Hexagon from 9am to 12pm, he said, adding that Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to the Indian gate will also remain Closed for traffic.
Parade will start from Vijay Chowk and go to C-Hexagon through Rajpath.
Traffic will be diverted.
Commuter was asked to observe traffic rules, road discipline and following the direction of traffic police personnel used at all intersections, the adviser said.
It suggests commuters to take alternative routes from north to south and vice versa using the Ring Road (Ashram Chowk-Sarai Kale Khan-Rajghat), from the Lajpat Rai Marg-Mathura Road-Bhairon Road-Road, from Aurobindo Marg -Safdarjung Road-Kamal Attaturk Mar-Kautilalaya Marg-Sardar Patel Marg- Mother Teresa Crescent-Rml-Baba Kharak Singh Marg, from Prithvi Raj Road-Rajesh Marg-Subramaniam Bharti Marg-Mathura Road-Bhairon Road Road and from Burfkhana -Azad Market-Rani Jhansi Flyover-Punchkuian Road-Hanuman Murti-Vande Matram Marg-Dhaula Kuan.
Likewise, from the east to west and vice versa, passengers have been advised to take Road-Bhairon Road-Mathura Road-Subramaniam Bharti Marg-Rajesh Pilot Marg-Prithvi Raj Road-Safdarjung Road-Kamal Ataturk Marg-Simon Boliver Marg-Upper Ridge Road-Vande Matram Marg, etc.
