New Delhi: Two men were stabbed by a group of five people in the Outer North Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area when they recovered Rs 22,000, which were loaned to one of the defendants.
Two attackers were arrested from Mathura on Thursday, police said.
The victims were identified as Puneet Sharma and Dahiya Rupinder.
Both were stabbed four times.
“Dahiya had given a loan of Rs 22,000 to one Gaurav Tyagi, who had convinced him that he would return money in early October,” said an officer.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Brijendra Kumar Yadav said Dahiya demanded his money back, but Gaurav avoided his call.
“On Monday, there are arguments between the two of these problems,” he said.
According to the police on Monday, Tyagi called Dahiya and told him to come to Badli Village to receive his money.
“When Dahiya, together with his friend Sharma, reached Tyagi’s house, they were attacked by Tyagi and four of his colleagues with a knife,” the officer said, adding that they all fled the incident.
In Sharma’s statement, a case below the 307 IPC section was registered.
“Technical supervision revealed that two telephone numbers were accused of being active in Mathura.
A team then rushed to the location and arrested two accused, vivekanand and antekh,” the officer said.
