NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police on Thursday said it’s busted two prohibited hookah bars in south Delhi’s Kalkaji region and apprehended 29 individuals, such as the owners.
“The proprietors of those prohibited institutions are recognized as Monu (32) of Govindpuri Extension, Rohit (25) of both Chirag Delhi, Karan Nayyar (32) of Kalkaji, also Aditya Dixit (28) of all Govindpuri,” the authorities said.
“On June 12, police stumbled upon a cafe,”’Sound & Fog’, nearby Govindpuri Extension where many clients were using hookah,” a senior police officer stated.
“Authorities raided the cafe and penalizes its owners Monu and Rohit, and five clients,” the officer stated.
“An instance under applicable segments was enrolled in the Kalkaji government channel.
The accused men were apprehended, and also a single hookah was captured,” deputy commissioner of police (southeast), ” Meena stated.
“On Monday, authorities raided a different institution, Khana Badosh Cafe, close to the Gol Chakkar at Kalkaji,” he explained.
“The proprietors of this restaurant, Nayyar and Dixit, along with 20 customers were detained,” that the DCP explained, adding that three hookahs were captured.
