New Delhi: Delhi University will soon get a new Vice-Chancellor because the process for the election has been completed.
The names more than a dozen candidates have been discussed.
Among them, the most prominent names including the University of Jawaharlal Nehru (JNU) VC M Jagadesh Kumar, University of Technology Delhi VC Yogesh Singh, ADN Bajpai and Sangeeta Mishra, etc.
Aside from DU, representatives of JNU Chancellor, Central University, Central University in Assam and Rajasthan, and both Central Sanskrit University, including VCS around a dozen universities, must be appointed.
The Ministry of Education Union has completed the selection process for vc promises in many universities throughout the country.
The new VC names will be announced after the President’s approval of the Ministry of Education’s proposal.
Previously, in July, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education, VCS from 12 different central universities was appointed.
These universities, where President RAM Nath Kovind has agreed to appointments, including Haryana University, Himachal Pradesh, Jamu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad.
Apart from this, President Kovind also approved the removal of the new VCS at the South Bihar University (style) University, Manipur University, Maulana National Urdu University, Bilaspur University, and Bilaspur University.
