Delhi: Walk plans are adjusted for the Lajpat market, INA

New Delhi: Busy cities Places such as Junction Ito or popular shopping zones such as Lajpat Nagar and Ina Market are all arranged to be pedestrian friendly.
The adjusted road plan for seven locations was approved on Thursday.
Lieutenant Governor of Anil Baijal led the 63rd government council meeting from the center of Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning and Engineering) (Uttipec) on Thursday, which was attended by Deputy Chairperson of Delhi Development Authority and other officials from various departments.
In a statement, the LG office said that after the detailed deliberation, a proposal for a walk to the market / metro station, Ito Junction, Hauz Typical-Iit Delhi, North and South University of Delhi, Kamla Nagar and Lajpat Nagar was approved.
‘These plans aim to increase the infrastructure run and adjust it to the specific needs of each field,’ said the statement.
Apart from the planned walk, the multi-capital integration plan at Nawada Delhi Metro station, Uttam Nagar West Station and East Station Janakpuri were also approved.
Another project status that was previously approved by the Government Council was also reviewed and officials of various institutions and depitations were advised to ensure time-bound completion in accordance with the schedule schedule, the statement said.
According to an official, the Public Works Department has several projects along with Uttipec, among them plans running, whose purpose is to strengthen pedestrian infrastructure in areas where it does not maintain or inadequate and develop it in those places At present it is not available.
In the case of the typical IIT Delhi-Hauz project, the plan is to ensure the uniform and width of the path of the Aurobindo Marg intersection and the outer ring road to the main gate of the IIT-D, with a shift in Dhalaos, a trash can, Poland, etc.
on the North Campus DU, project Walkability focuses on making smooth pedestrian movements.
“It has been observed that there is a lack of traffic law enforcement in the area and this needs to be handled by traffic police by imposing a fairly fed fleet in unauthorized parking,” said an official.
In February this year, Du representatives asked for a study of the area for the Walkability project to be expanded to cover the entire campus.
In the case of the South Campus, the increase in walcabilities infrastructure requires a shift in the wall boundary of the train along the San Martin Road to provide a uniform wide path.
PWD has taken this by North train.
“The consultant who created the plan also raised the problem of crossing the ring road during the hours and suggested a separate landing and shared the foot overbridge by pedestrians,” the official said.
The aim in Ito is to make a safe intersection for pedestrians.
“There are many offices in this area, as well as two Metro stations – Ito and Pragati Maidan – who saw heavy footsteps throughout the day.
The official said,” Apart from this, there are several buses standing in this stretch, making it increasingly important to ensure that the area It’s safe for pedestrians and well connected too.
