Delhi: Water rises in Yamuna; More than 100 families shift

New Delhi: The water level in Yamuna in Delhi increased again and recorded at 205.30 meters on Sunday morning, just below the danger of 205.33 meters, when the rain continued to Lash Delhi and the official said.
According to officials, more than 100 families living in the Yamuna floodland have been transferred to a higher area over the past few days.
On Friday, the Delhi government honed the flood warnings and accelerated efforts to evacuate people from vulnerable areas, because the river in the capital violated the danger of 205.33 meters in heavy rain in the water catchment area.
The water level is recorded at 205.30 meters at the Old Railroad Bridge at 9 in the morning.
On Friday, Yamuna had violated a danger and swelled up to 205.59 meters at 9pm.
It has receded 204.89 meters on Saturday night, according to the Delhi flood control room.
With Haryana issued more water to the river from a series of hathnikund, Delhi police and the administration of the East Delhi District have evacuated people who live in the yamuna floodland in the capital.
“The flood warning remains.
We have deployed ships in various fields and families living in vulnerable areas while being moved while to the tent and residence of the city government’s house,” said a Delhi Disaster Management Authority official.
Flood warnings are stated when Yamuna crosses the “warning sign” 204.50 meters.
Delhi’s flood control room reported the 17,827 cusec discharge rate from a series of hatnikund in Yamunanagar Haryana at 9am.
Usually, the flow rate on the Hathnikund barrage is 352 cusecs, but the discharge increases after heavy rainfall in the catchment area.
It has peaked up to 1.60 lakh cusec on Tuesday, this year’s highest so far.
Water thrown away from a series usually takes two-three days to reach the capital.
One Cusec is equivalent to 28.32 liters per second.
An official met the department said the rain “moderate to severe” was predicted in northwestern India for the next few days, which would likely increase the surface of the water in the river flowing through the region.
In 2019, the flow rate had peaked to 8.28 lakh cusec on August 18-19, and the surface of the Yamuna had reached a sign of 206.60 meters, violating a danger sign of 205.33 meters.
In 1978, the river had swelled to the water level of recording of the time of 207.49 meters.
In 2013, it has increased to 207.32 meters.
