Delhi: You donate kidneys for older sisters

New Delhi: Towards Hawa Rakshabandhan, a 28-year-old man gave a live gift to his sister who was hit by a prolonged dialysis of kidneys.
The brother donated his kidney to his sister, who risked losing his life because of kidney failure after prolonged dialysis.
Coming from Rohtak in Haryana, the 31-year-old woman suffered kidney problems for five years and had undergone medical treatment for a long time and ignored blood pressure which caused damage to its kidney, the doctor at Aakash Healthcare said here.
“Unfortunately, like many other patients, he has also dropped mythical victims about dialysis and delayed initiation, which worsened his condition.
About three years ago, his condition deteriorated suddenly and he was treated in the ICU,” said the doctors.
“There, he was diagnosed with tuberculosis due to poor immunity and his lungs filled with fluids due to heart failure,” they said.
Dialysis delays and uncontrolled blood pressure have caused the weakening of his heart, they said.
The dialysis began immediately along with other treatments, a good diet and rehabilitation which caused improving his health.
However, after assessing the whole condition, and remembering a young age, the doctor suggested a kidney transplant.
Dr.
Vikram Kalara, an additional director, the Ministry of Nephrology and Kidney Transplant, Aakash Healthcare, Dwarka, who transplanted the kidneys, said that the prolonged high blood pressure was caused by initial kidney disease that was not handled properly.
This caused rapid development of kidney failure and damage to Other organs.
He needs dialysis three times a week at the hospital and then undergoing kidney transplants.
“According to senior doctors, diabetes and high blood pressure (hypertension) are the most common causes of kidney disease.
Ninety percent of patients affected by kidney disease have high blood pressure, but overall, five out of 100 hypertensive patients may face kidney damage.
“Many are voluntary to be a living donor.
Her husband is the first but he is not a suitable candidate because their blood group does not match the unfortunately, the blood group of sister’s sister fits and we complete a transplant in a five-hour operation.
It is a challenging operation because his heart pumps With only a capacity of 25%, the risk of pulmonary edema (accumulation of excess fluid in.
Lung) remains “.
However, the transplant was successful because his body accepted his organs and the function of his heart also improved.
“He can live a normal life of a young woman who is married, he can even become a mother when he chooses,” he said.
“My brother suffered.
It was unbearable.
When the doctors say that I can donate because our blood group is suitable and answering all our questions, I don’t think twice before agreeing to give him a kidney from my body.
He is very valuable to me and I am very Glad that he can live a happy life from now on, “he said.
