New Delhi: Air quality in the national capital remains in the ‘very poor’ category on Friday with AQI at night recorded at 381, data from the Central Polution Control Agency (CPCB) shows.
Neighbor Faridabad (354), Ghaziabad (372), Greater Noida (388), Gurugram (345) and Noida (385) also recorded the air quality index (AQI) in the ‘Very Poor’ category.
Aqi between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfying, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 are very bad, and 401 and 500 are severe.
According to the authorities, air quality tends to increase “significantly” from Sunday because the wind is relatively strong and achieve “bad categories”.
To fight pollution, the Delhi government on Wednesday has published 10 directions, including the ban on the entry of trucks carrying non-essential items in the city and closing of schools and colleges until further orders.
On Thursday also, Aqi has been established in the ‘very poor’ category.
Aqi Delhi on Tuesday slipped into the ‘severe’ category at night, and increased pollution levels have become a problem for all authorities and health experts.

The maximum temperature at night is recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius, and relative humidity is 69 percent on Friday, he said.
