New Delhi: After remaining closed for about one and a half years due to Covid-19 pandemic, schools in the national capital will be opened gradually from September 1, according to sources.
The decision in this case was taken at the Delhi Disaster Management Authority Meeting (DDMA) on Friday.
“The reopening of the school will begin in stages.
Class for class 9-12 will start from September 1 and for 6-8 classes from September 8,” said the source.
The decision came after a real increase in the Covid-19 situation in Delhi, following a recent wave of brutal infections that claimed many lives, with a lack of oxygen in the hospital across misery.
Schools in the national capital were ordered to be closed last year in March before the national lock to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
The Delhi government has recently announced the reopening of the school and allows students of class X and XII to visit schools for jobs related to receipt, practical activities and counseling sessions.
