Srinagar: The day after the restriction commission held a deliberation with political parties in Srinagar, panel members on Wednesday interacted with panel members understood in the southern district of Anannag.
Members of the National Conference, Congress and other parties emphasized to hold restrictions for free and fair while BJP demanded a reservation for SC and ST and the addition of one chair again from the AnanTnag district in the assembly.
According to officials, the delimitation panel reached a pahalgam club on Wednesday to meet leaders from various political parties.
The majority of leaders are political parties that meet the restriction panel.
From the national conference, the former Altaf legislator Ahmed Kaloo led the party delegation and interacted with members of the restriction commission.
Speaking with reporters, Kaloo said that the party supported the point of view that had been presented before the commission by senior leaders in Srinagar.
“We also present a memorandum and urge the commission that it would be better if J & K will be given full population before being discarded.
Even so, we urge the panel to do free and fair restrictions without injustice for any area or region,” he said.
From the congress, the delegation led by Gulzar Ahmed Wani met with a panel and said that they reaffirmed the memorandum submitted by the party’s head in Srinagar to the Commission.
“Whatever people who are worried, we know the commission about the same thing.
We also emphasize that state must be recovered first so that J & K gets the elected government,” Wani said.
J & K APNI Party Secretary General Rafi Ahmed Mir also led the delegation and gave rise to their point of view.
“First of all, we did not expect that there would be restrictions until 2026 because the exercise was frozen.
But now political developments have occurred, we decided not to stay away and submit our perspective,” he said.
“We emphasize that whatever decision to be taken by the Commission must be in a transparent way and if it happens, it will be a measure of good confidence (CBM).” Muhammad Rafiq Wani, the BJP leader told reporters that they demanded an additional seat again to the AnanTnag district.
“In Kulgam, there is a great injustice with the district.
Restrictions will be fair but yes, this restriction will close the shops many politicians,” he said, adding that BJP leaders demanded a reservation for the Skose people.
Delegates and other leaders who met with panels in Pahalgam including the Afzal Parray of CPI (M), the Youth of the Social Foundation and Vikas Anantnag led by Munawar Ahmed, Chair and Gojer Etihad AnanTnag Haroon Khatana, Pahari Culture and Anantang Welfare Form led by Shareef Ahmed , Sheikh-Ul in Turst Anant was led by Bilal Ahmed Mir, Gujer and Jackle J & K Conference J & K Muhammad Yaseen Poswal and Sikh Welfare Community Anantnag led by Mashoor Singh.
The restriction commission arrived in Srinagar on July 6 on a four-day visit to J & K.
The source said that members of the panel would fly back to Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
