Gurgaon: The Ministry of Health has directed all schools in the city to submit the data of students in grade 1 to 12, ahead of the launch of the 19th Covid vaccine anticipated to children in the last week of this month.
In an order issued on Monday, the department asked all schools to submit the data within 10 days.
There are a total of 127 government and 232 private schools in Gurgaon.
Ministry of Health wants to create a database on children in the city as part of a plan to inoculate them, officials said.
Chief medical officer Virender Yadav said, “Previously, we had asked them for a list of children between the ages of 12 to 18 years, but now they will collect data of children in grades 1 to 12.

“The vaccine is expected to be passed after mid-November.
Meanwhile, 43 government session site will be set up for vaccination Covid on Tuesday.
Covishield will be provided at 36 sites, Covaxin at six sites and Sputnik V on one site.
An additional 37 special sites will be set up for the vaccination of pregnant women on Tuesday.
In addition, the medical team will visit the area to vaccinate 186 door-to-door on Tuesday.
A total of 12 166 people in the 18-44 age group were inoculated on Monday.
In the 45-plus category, a total of 2,028 people took photos.
Overall, 14 208 doses administered.
