Delivery agent killed as a duo ‘requires cash for drugs’

Gurgaon: Two suspects have been arrested in the murder of a 30-year-old Zomato food delivery agent in Rewari, police said on Wednesday.
The defendant, added the police, was a drug addict, roaming around the city with a country-made gun on Sunday night when they found sending Mahendra Singh’s men near Ansal City.
The duo was suspected of trying to rob Singh, who was in this area to give food orders.
According to the police, Singh opposed them, followed which one accused of issuing a gun and shooting him in the stomach.
After that, the defendant was suspected of taking 7,000 cash and cellphones from Singh and fled their motorbikes.

According to the police, the duo will carry out a robbery and buy medicine with money.
The police have recovered one state gun and three cartridges directly from them.
During the police interrogation, the duo was thought to claim to commit a crime, adding that they needed money to buy drugs.

In Rewari, he has shifted to a house near his sister along with his wife and 10-year-old son.
A spokesman for Zomato said that the company would provide all support for the Singh family.
“We will provide work to one of the brothers as a shipping agent.
We have also raised funds internally to surrender to the family.
We will provide unconditional support to the family,” said the spokesman.
