Istanbul: The number of Delta Covid-19 variants cases in Turkey has increased to around 750 of 284 seven days ago and the overall case rose 20% on weekends compared to a week before, said Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.
Turkey stimulates most restrictions related to Coronavirus on July 1 after the daily case falls from the peak above 60,000 in April to around 5,000, but Koca said the new numbers referred to the increase.
“This increase has appeared more in places where the level of inoculation is low,” Koca told reporters after a cabinet meeting on Monday, recorded an increase in cases in the Southeast Provinces of Turkey.
He asked people to be vaccinated and said that around 61% of adult populations have received at least one dose of vaccines.
He has set a 70% target at the Eid Al-Adha vacation next week.
Turkey has reported 5.5 million cases of Covid-19 and 50,000 deaths in total.
Vaccination programs have increased to about one million shots per day in recent weeks, with 38 million received at least one dose of a population of 84 million.
The Turkish Vaccine program began in January with a shot developed by Sinovac and now also includes vaccines by Pfizer and Bionth, and Sputnik V.
Russian Delta has now recorded in 36 provinces, up from 30 a week before, while the total three delta plus cases have been Registered, said Koca.
The ministry does not propose new restrictions and while there is currently no new wave of cases, this cannot be ruled out, by avoiding this is an increase in vaccination, he said.
He added that he did not want to make mandatory vaccination and the ministry aimed at convincing people to be investigated, with plans to improve cellular inoculation teams.
