Agartala: Afraid of gripping Tripura after the presence of a very contagious Delta-Plus variant of Covid-19 confirmed in a large number of samples.
The state government has sent 151 samples from all eight of these districts to the laboratory testing an accredited genome in West Bengal last week.
A total of 115 samples of the West Tripura District, eight in the Sepahijala, five in Gomati, four were unokoti, two of each of the North and South and One District in Khowai and Dhalai District were found to carry a Delta-Plus variant.
In addition to imposing a strict weekend curfew in all states from Saturday, the government has made it mandatory for all to maintain a distance of at least six feet each other on the road and all public places.
