Demand for BBM India rose 10.9% in August

New Delhi: Demand for Indian fuel rose 10.9 percent in August compared to the same month last year.
Fuel consumption, proxy for oil demand, amounted to 16 million tons, data from cell planning and oil analysis (PPAC) from the Ministry of Oil shows.
Gasoline sales, or gasoline, 13 percent higher than the previous year of 2.69 million tons.
Cooking gas sales or liquid gas (LPG) increased 2.4 percent to 2.33 million tons, while Naphtha sales fell 5.1 percent to 1.02 million tons.
Bitumen sales, used to make roads, are 3.1 percent, while the use of fuel oil rose 8 percent in August.
